Webinar on “Women Safety”

必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, MAHE, 必威体育betway888 has organized a webinar on the topic “Women Safety” on August 18, 2021, between 11 am and 12 noon. Dr Jagriti Gangopadhyay, Assistant Professor and the faculty coordinator for the Center for Women’s Studies, at the 必威体育betway888 Centre for Humanities, MAHE 必威体育betway888 shared her expertise on Women safety. She highlighted the facts, causes endangering women safety in different contexts such as homes, workplaces and in society. The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on women safety in the current situation was emphasized during the webinar. Need for ensuring women safety in families, the workplace and several other contexts in terms of strengthening the policies and policy reforms were other highlights of the session. She also mentioned the organisations which are funding the welfare and safety of women.

The session was conducted as a webinar in Microsoft Teams and was attended by 113 participants within MAHE, 必威体育betway888. This webinar was related to the circular from University Grant Commission (UGC) dated April 19, 2021, and was coordinated by Ms Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing MAHE 必威体育betway888.
