Report of CNE on “Clinical skills and practices”

A continuing nursing education programme was organized on the topic “Clinical skills and practices” by the 2nd year MSc Nursing students of 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education, 必威体育betway888, in association with the Department of Nursing Services, Kasturba Hospital, 必威体育betway888, on April 5, 2024. Dr. Jyothi Chakrabarty, Professor and Head of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, presented the inaugural address. Sr. Punitha and Ms. Leena Chetry, students of 2nd year MSc Nursing, deliberated on the session on “Basic ECG Interpretation.”. The next session on “Titration of Sedatives” was deliberated by Dr. Souvik Chaudhuri, Associate Professor, from the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, 必威体育betway888.

The sessions were interesting and inspiring, providing a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and the practical implications of the care of the patient. It garnered participation from a total of 33 participants, including staff nurses from KH, 必威体育betway888, students, and faculty members of 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing. The program was coordinated by Mrs. Janet Prameela D’Souza, Assistant Professor-Senior Scale, and Mrs. Janet Alva, Assistant Professor, from the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, MAHE, 必威体育betway888.

This program has contributed to the achievement of SDG 4: Quality Education.
