MAHE RESEARCH DAY MANIPAL QUEST 1.0 REPORT- 2024

Faculty and students of 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing (MCON) participated in MAHE Health Science 必威体育betway888 Day on June 8, 2024, at the Interact building, MAHE. It was a day filled with events meant to showcase the research being done at MAHE, under the events, INSPIRE Juniors, Undergraduates, Postgraduates & Professionals, build COLLABORATION and ENRICH research knowledge & skills.

INSPIRE Junior was designed for school students in grades eight through twelve. MCON actively participated in this science activity by including exhibits depicting the “Journey of a Nurse” from bed to bench, including the wider scope of nursing nationally and internationally in various specialities. The main aim of this event was to ignite students' interest in nursing, science, and research.

INSPIRE Undergraduates was an exemplary research platform that helped undergraduate nursing students learn about literature search, teamwork, statistical methods, ethical considerations, and scientific writing skills from experts from within and around the country.

INSPIRE Postgraduates was an exceptional opportunity offered to postgraduate students of MCON to engage in one-to-one interactions with expert researchers and gain valuable insight into various research topics.

INSPIRE Professional was an event, where faculty members were given a chance to supercharge their research skills by experts from various fields. MCON faculty actively took part in all the sessions.

COLLABORATE was a unique forum to display funded projects of MCON. The research activities of 13 funded projects by various agencies and the Centre of Excellence on Advanced Interprofessional Wound Care were exhibited. The Principal Investigators showcased their project in terms of contributions done, research visibility, collaborations established, and future collaborations required. This distinctive event paved the way for future research and promoted a sense of well-being among researchers.

必威体育betway888 Quest 1.0 was an event hosted by Kasturba Medical College 必威体育betway888 Postgraduate 必威体育betway888 Vertical for MAHE Inter-health sciences postgraduate and PhD students on June 9, 2024, at Dr. TMA Pai Auditorium. The day was power-packed with informative sessions and various competitions on scientific paper presentations, postgraduate research quizzes, the Journal club and 必威体育betway888 Quest Logo designing. Eight delegates, including postgraduate and PhD students, participated in all the activities. Two postgraduate students, Ms Hareera and Ms Naisa were among the top five finalists in the research quiz competition. Mrs. Sweety Fernandes, pursuing her PhD at MCON, bagged third place in the Logo designing competition. Overall, the entire two days were an enriching and enlightening experience for students and faculty at 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, MAHE, 必威体育betway888. Quality Education (SDG 4) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) are the sustainable development goals involved in capturing this event.
