II year PBBSc Nursing students performed a role play on food safety in which they have highlighted the unhygienic way of food preparation and its effects on health. The PPT presentation made by Mr. Uppu Praveen and Mrs. Babitha about WHO theme on food safety (how safe is your food- from farm to plate make food safe). In the presentation, they mainly focused the topics like what is food safety, effects of pesticides, food adulteration, importance of personal hygiene for food preparation, preservation and storage of food, Do’s and Don’ts regarding food safety.
Mr. Krishnappa, Senior Health Inspector, PHC, Pernankila, given a talk on signs and symptoms of H1N1 and Tuberculosis. The master of ceremony was done by Mrs. Thripthi and programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Jyothsna.
