SEMINAR ON SOFT SKILLS - TEAM BUIDLING AND MOTIVATION

Teamwork is important because it enables a team to share ideas and responsibilities, which helps reduce stress on everyone, allowing them to be meticulous and thorough when completing tasks. Teamwork among a diverse group of people will almost always reveal new, fresh ideas. And those new ideas are invaluable in today’s competitive environment.
The Education Committee of Student Nurses’ Association 2022-23 of 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing 必威体育betway888 has organized a Seminar on the theme “Team building and Motivation” on 11th April 2023 between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Prof. Santhosh Nayak, Assistant Professor- Sr. Scale, Department of Commerce, MAHE, 必威体育betway888 deliberated on the topic “Team Building”. He started the session by dividing the students into seven groups and gave an activity to make them understand the importance of teamwork. He also taught the significance of teamwork in nursing as well. He concluded the session by highlighting the phrase “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is a success.”
The next session was delivered by Prof. Ravindra Shenoy U, Assistant Professor- Sr. Scale, Department of Commerce, MAHE, 必威体育betway888. He deliberated on the topic of “Motivation”. He started off the session by showing a video that showcased the life journey of various successful personalities in the world such as MS. Dhoni, Mukesh Ambani, and Amitabh Bachchan. He taught that these heroes lost but they were not defeated, they fought back. He encouraged the students by stating the quote “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”. He winded up the session by sharing the eight secrets of success.
The session was conducted at 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, MAHE, 必威体育betway888. A total of 46 students from Third year BSc Nursing participated in the seminar. Students’ queries were addressed and clarified by the resource persons. The program was coordinated by Ms. Ashley Sajan Valleena and Ms. Melin Mathew, SNA Education Committee Chairperson, and Secretary respectively along with Ms. Arpitha Jaison, Ms. Sitta Ann Sabu, SNA Education Committee representatives, and Mrs.Janet P Dsouza, Mrs. Flavia Noronha, SNA Education Committee Advisors.
This program contributed to achieving SDG 4: Quality Education.
