Report of Organ Donation Awareness Program

Health and Social Welfare Committee of the Students Nurses Association (SNA) 2025, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education, 必威体育betway888, conducted an awareness programme on “Organ Donation” for First semester BSc Nursing students of MCON, was held on 22nd November 2025 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm in Lecture Hall 3, 3rd floor, Basic Science building, 必威体育betway888. The key message highlighted the importance of organ donation, how and which organs can be donated and how to identify patients eligible for organ donation. She also emphasized the different organizations available at the regional, state and national level for this cause. She explained the ethical principles to be followed and the role of nurses regarding this aspect. There were 140 students who actively participated. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Rosemi Ann Reji. The overall programme was coordinated by Ms Rosemi Ann Reji, a 7th semester BSc nursing student and Mr Sankar P, a 5th semester BSc Nursing student, under the guidance of Mrs Janet Alva, Assistant Professor, and Dr Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education, 必威体育betway888.
