Collaboration Series- 5 “Blended learning: Student perspectives”
Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE, 必威体育betway888 and Department of Nursing, Edge Hill University, UK organized Academic Student Collaboration Series- 5 on “Blended learning: Student perspectives” on 22nd April 2022 between 3.30 pm & 5.30 pm through MS Teams Virtual Platform.
Ms Mable Mary Mathews, 2nd semester BSc Nursing student, MCON welcomed the gathering. The event started with the keynote address from Dr Radhika R Pai, Assistant Professor from MCON who gave a brief orientation on the teaching-learning activity schedule from the pandemic till date at MCON, and Dr Toni Bewley, Senior Lecturer, Department of Nursing, Edge Hill University, briefed on online learning at EHU and gave an introduction to the shortlisting of both universities for student Times partnership award at the UK.
The session continued with the student interaction from both Universities discussing the pandemic's impact on the academic activities. The main issues for discussion were an introduction to the types of online learning experience which was conducted, and the positives and negatives among students of both the University. Experience sharing from the MCON students' side included Mr Bony P Thomas, Mr Jessal Gladwin, Ms Jhanvi Mathur, and Ms Crystal Venessa Noronha, and from Edgehill University's side experience was shared by Ms Rowan, Ms Joanne, Ms Hannah, and Ms. \Danielle.
A closing remark was given by Dr Toni Bewley and Mr Ross, a student from Edge Hill University, thanked everyone for contributing to this knowledge-sharing event. A total of 31 participants from MAHE and Edge Hill University participated in this event.
