Compassionate Leadership Fellowship- Mentor Visit

Mrs Alice Stella Virginia, Retd Army Nursing Officer, National Faculty, Palliative Nursing, visited 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, MAHE 必威体育betway888, between 27th and 28th September 2024. She mentored Dr Radhika R Pai, Assistant Professor, MCON, for the Compassionate Leadership Fellowship (CLF) program. This visit was a part of the Mentor-Mentee interaction as part of the Compassionate Leadership Fellowship (CLF) from the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) in collaboration with the Cairdeas 必威体育betway888 Palliative Care Trust, Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Global Health Academy (University of Edinburgh), and the RMD Trust.

The visit included monitoring the progress of the course development on MSc Palliative Care Nursing and certificate course in Pain Management. A course outline was drawn and a skeletal plan was made to develop and evaluate both courses.

During the visit, Mrs Alice Stella took a “Lymphedema Management” session. A total of 23 students benefitted from this interaction. She further interacted with the staff nurses of Kasturba Hospital 必威体育betway888 with an introduction to palliative care nursing. A total of 42 staff nurses participated in this session.
