On the eve of India's 78th Independence Day, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, stood radiant in tricolor lights, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of our nation.
The morning of August 15th marked a momentous occasion as we celebrated not only our country's freedom but also 70 glorious years of excellence at our institution.
Dr. B. Unnikrishnan, Dean of KMC Mangalore, welcomed the gathering. The day’s festivities commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao K., Pro Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, MAHE, followed by an inspiring message from the Chief Guest.
The program featured a soulful patriotic song by our students, adding to the atmosphere of pride and unity.
The event also recognized the contributions of our dedicated non-teaching staff, Mrs. Yeshoda K (KMC Mangalore), Mrs. Dakshayini (KMCH Attavar), and Mr. Manjunath Bhandary (KMCH-Ambedkar Circle) through the Dr. K. R. Shetty - MAHE Endowment Service Excellence Awards, felicitated by Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mangalore Campus, MAHE.
The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. B. Suresh Kumar Shetty, Associate Dean, KMC Mangalore.
