Silver Jubilee Reunion of MCODS, Mangalore Batch of 1991

The 1991 batch celebrated their Silver Jubilee reunion on the 17th and 18th December 2016 at Mangalore. Total of 61 alumni had attended the program. The accommodation was arranged at Hotel Deepa Comforts, Mangalore. The transport was provided from the institution for both the days. The photographer and videographer was also arranged by the institution. The program was well managed and alumni attended the meet from all over the world. Dr. Vivek Amin and Dr. Lavanya Manoj Verma who belong to 1990 batch and presently faculty at Yenepoya Dental College and Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore respectively coordinated with the batch and the institution.

The two day program was as follows:

17th December 2016:

Morning: Lecture Hall 1, MCODS Attavar- 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM

There were registration counters management by the Students Council, student delegates of MUSRF and Interns. All the alumni were informed about the upcoming Students conference in February arranged by MUSRF and handouts were distributed. The alumni were made to register on paper and on line at the 必威体育betway888 portal. Tea and snacks were arranged by the institution.

The 必威体育betway888 Relations, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education sponsored the T shirts and a Tote cotton bags for all the alumni.

Dr Lavanya Manoj Verma was the master of the ceremony. Teachers of 1991 batch were all invited for the program. They were Dr Sudha P, Dr. Shyam Bhat, Dr. Rohan Mascaranas, Dr. Chatra etc. Following the prayer by Dr Rita Govindan, alumni, batch of 91’ and lighting the lamp, all the teachers of 1991 batch were welcomes with flowers. Dr. Mohan Baliga, Dr. Ashita Uppoor, Associate Deans and Dr. Arathi Rao, 必威体育betway888 coordinator, ARMCODS, were invited on the dias and all of them addressed the audience. The videographed messages of Pro VC Dr. Surendra Shetty and the Dean, Dr. Dilip Naik were projected.?

The batch representatives expressed their gratitude to the institution by handing over a momento which was received by Dr. Baliga. This was followed by all the alumni being introduced by Dr. George P John, alumni of batch 91’ and vote of thank was rendered by Dr Merlyn, alumni of batch 91’.

The lunch was sponsored by the college and was arranged at Kaprigudda Mens hostel. The hospitality by the institution was well appreciated by all the alumni. They then visited Marena and TMA Pai Convention Centre. The group had a photo shoot at the convention centre.

Evening: Mangalore Club, - 07.00 PM to 11.00 PM

Evening program was completely arranged by the 必威体育betway888. All the teachers were also invited. Dr. Mathais and Dr. Arvind Shenoy were the faculty who made it to the evening program along with Associated Deans, 必威体育betway888 coordinator, Dr. Sudha P, Dr. Kundabala M and Dr. Ravindra Kotian.

Dr. Surendra Shetty, Pro VC, could make it to the evening program and this made all the alumni extremely happy. Dr. Anand Shenoy, 必威体育betway888 of batch 91’ raised the toast to the institution and faculty.

A band had been arranged for live music from Mumbai and the music was superb.

?Day 2: 18th December 2016- Private Party at River Roost

On both the days, they also visited all the places of eatery, beaches, malls etc to savour the old memories. Most of the alumni left Mangalore on 19th December 2016 with beautiful memories.
