Udupi City Award for Kalanand Contest 2017- Dental Student brings accolades by her artwork

Ms Jaskirat Kaur, A final year Dental student is awarded for her art work "Masquerade", at the Kalanand Art contest 2017.

She describes her art work as-

"With curiosity and gloom in her eyes and a blend of beauty, sophistication and naivety, it's a tribute to women for their endless sacrifices and ?enduring contributions to human society and family, ?who are yet to receive the ?deserving attention, recognition, dignity and honor. By donning a ?mask she sets off for a journey to seek answers for her existence, social security and economic travails. Woman in her outlook while striving for equality and independence, ?contemplates to broaden her horizons .She will hide her sweet soul, like breathing and living in a masquerade ball."

As another artwork, body art- "Free Bird" has also been selected as the cover picture for?the book "Dynamics of Children's Literature" by Dr. Nandini Sahu, IGNOU. The author has given her due credits at the back of the book.?
