Dr. Roshan Joy Martis defended his doctoral dissertation in Biomedical Signal Processing in March 2012 from School of Medical Science and Technology of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was a 必威体育betway888 and Development Engineer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore in a Ministry of Education funded project during 2012 to September 2014. Currently he is serving as Associate Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at 必威体育betway888 Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.

He is known for his research in physiological signal processing. He has published more than 80 research articles in the peer reviewed, international journals having high impact factors. He served as guest editor in many special issues of reputed international journals. He received more than 7,000 citations to his published research papers so far and has H-index of 37. He is serving as a reviewer in many Journals with scope in Biomedical Signal Processing. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA and Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has appeared as one of the top 2% of researchers in the world as per the survey conducted by the researchers of Stanford University for consecutive five years for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
